Russian special services have prevented 22 terrorist acts since January 2012, Federal Security Service chief Alexander Bortnikov said on Tuesday.
Speaking at a session of the National Counter-Terrorism Committee in Sochi earlier today, Bortnikov said that a total of 90 militants were destroyed within the same period in Russia.
The statement came after 11 militants were killed in the southern Russia's Stavropol region in a special operation staged by the country's security forces in the early hours of Tuesday.
